10,000 visitors can't be wrong.

What a fantastic weekend at the Lancaster Food and Drink Festival which took place at Lancaster Leisure Park on the Bank Holiday (5th and 6th May).
It didn't matter whether it rained or the sun shone, crowds in excess of 10,000 browsed the 55 artisan stalls, sampling different foodie delights, eating hot street food and buying meats, breads, cheeses and wines to take home.
The event organised by Allan Blackburn of Lancaster Leisure Park showcased producers from all over Lancashire and it was this mix of fabulous foods that Allan says was the key to the event's success.
A lot of the exhibitors said it was the best show they'd been to and struggled to keep up with demand! There was standing room only in the demo marquees and hundreds of recipes and tasters were given out. On the busiest day we emptied 33 bin bags of rubbish.
